Regulatory T cells, Inflammation, Peripheral tolerance.

My main research focus on studying a novel regulatory T cells which exhibit inhibition function on proliferating T cells in culture. Regulatory T cells have a pivotal role in the immune tolerance by controlling undesired self and non-self-immune responses. These cells are crucial for the maintenance of immune homeostasis, their ability to suppress the activation and proliferation of a wide range of immune cells makes them central in the prevention of autoimmune diseases and immune pathologies.
